Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Industrial Road by Eric Freeman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,198.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Eric Freeman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red Inside Green (Happiness) in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 22,233.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Industrial Road von Eric Freeman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.198,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eric Freeman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red Inside Green (Happiness) im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 22.233,00).
