Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2015 Christies in New York held the auction First Open/ NYC, which included the work Electric Noise by Eric Freeman. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,667.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eric Freeman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Inside Green (Happiness), which sold at auction in May 2010 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 22,233.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open/ NYC durch, in der auch die Arbeit Electric Noise von Eric Freeman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.667,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Eric Freeman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Inside Green (Happiness) beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 22.233,00) versteigert wurde.
