Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Assumption Of Weee by Enrico David was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,819.86). Admittedly, works by Enrico David have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,092.13).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Assumption Of Weee von Enrico David im September 2017 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.819,86) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Enrico David auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 33.092,13).
