Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Emilio Greco could be acquired at Christies in New York in December 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Head of a Woman changed hands for USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,232.37) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emilio Greco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grande Bagnante II in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 260,500.00 (€ 205,215.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Emilio Greco konnte im Dezember 2012 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Head of a Woman für USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.232,37) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emilio Greco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grande Bagnante II im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 260.500,00 (€ 205.215,06).
