Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Constant Puyo could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work 'Les Papillons Blancs' changed hands for USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,434.07) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Constant Puyo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Vase Mystique, which sold at auction in May 2012 for EUR 8,125.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Constant Puyo konnte im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit 'Les Papillons Blancs' für USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.434,07) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Constant Puyo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Vase Mystique beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für EUR 8.125,00 versteigert wurde.
