Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Violoncelliste by Émile-Antoine Bourdelle was worth GBP 8,190.00 (€ 9,710.17) to a buyer in March last year. This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Émile-Antoine Bourdelle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Héraklès Archer, Huitième Étude Dite "Modèle Intermédiaire Définitif" in March 2016 with an auction result of EUR 373,500.00.

Die Arbeit Violoncelliste von Émile-Antoine Bourdelle war einem Käufer im März letzten Jahres GBP 8.190,00 (€ 9.710,17) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale bei Christies in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Émile-Antoine Bourdelle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Héraklès Archer, Huitième Étude Dite "Modèle Intermédiaire Définitif" im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 373.500,00.
