The work The Phoenix by Emil Bisttram was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2007. It achieved a price of USD 26,400.00 (€ 19,739.79), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 47%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emil Bisttram - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Storm Over Taos (Stormy Mountain Scene), which sold at auction in December 2008 for USD 68,500.00 (€ 49,213.31).

Die Arbeit The Phoenix von Emil Bisttram kam im März 2007 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 26.400,00 (€ 19.739,79) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47%. Für andere Arbeiten von Emil Bisttram mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Storm Over Taos (Stormy Mountain Scene) beobachtet, die im Dezember 2008 für USD 68.500,00 (€ 49.213,31) versteigert wurde.
