Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Salome by Emil Bisttram for USD 600.00 (€ 453.51). This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,800.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emil Bisttram achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Storm Over Taos (Stormy Mountain Scene) in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 68,500.00 (€ 49,213.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Salome von Emil Bisttram für USD 600,00 (€ 453,51) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.800,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emil Bisttram erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Storm Over Taos (Stormy Mountain Scene) im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.500,00 (€ 49.213,31).
