The work Sorrowing Women by Emil Filla was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Day Sale Afternoon session auction at Sothebys in London in June 2013. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 254,500.00 (€ 297,047.08), 70% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emil Filla - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Czech seated Woman, which sold at auction in November 2017 for GBP 729,000.00 (€ 827,523.45).

Die Arbeit Sorrowing Women von Emil Filla wurde im Juni 2013 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Day Sale Afternoon session bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 254.500,00 (€ 297.047,08) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Emil Filla mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Czech seated Woman beobachtet, die im November 2017 für GBP 729.000,00 (€ 827.523,45) versteigert wurde.
