Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Boats by Elmer Nelson Bischoff was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session auction at Christies in New York in May 2011. Here, the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 37,500.00 (€ 26,085.14). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elmer Nelson Bischoff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Cliffs in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 564,800.00 (€ 440,115.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Boats von Elmer Nelson Bischoff wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 37.500,00 (€ 26.085,14) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elmer Nelson Bischoff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Red Cliffs im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 564.800,00 (€ 440.115,33).
