This artwork by Elliott Puckette achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2017. In the First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Biscay sold for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,569.93) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Elliott Puckette - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2008 for USD 37,500.00 (€ 29,541.52).

Für andere Arbeiten von Elliott Puckette mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2008 für USD 37.500,00 (€ 29.541,52) versteigert wurde.
