The work Ann Lauterbach, A Clown, Some Colors, A Doll, Her Stories, A Song, A Moonlit Cove, New York, Library Fellows of the Whitney Museum of American Art, 1996 by Ellen Phelan was sold in the Prints And Multiples auction at Christies in New York in October 2007. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,188 (€ 821) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 900 - 1,200. Admittedly, works by Ellen Phelan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 8,125 (€ 6,878).
