The work Proun 6B, from Proun by El Lissitzky was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Christies in New York in October 2017. It achieved a price of USD 22,500.00 (€ 19,316.62), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by El Lissitzky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self-Portrait ('The Constructor') in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 947,250.00 (€ 1,099,444.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Proun 6B, from Proun von El Lissitzky wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 19.316,62) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von El Lissitzky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Self-Portrait ('The Constructor') im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 947.250,00 (€ 1.099.444,42).
