Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Smoke and Mirror #63 by Eileen Quinlan for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,749.27). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eileen Quinlan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Venus Mount, 2020, which sold at auction in April 2021 for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,390.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Smoke and Mirror #63 von Eileen Quinlan für USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.749,27) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Eileen Quinlan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Venus Mount, 2020 beobachtet, die im April 2021 für USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.390,69) versteigert wurde.
