Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Bride, from A Memoir of Edward Calvert Artist by his Third Son by Edward Calvert was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in September this year. The price achieved of GBP 960.00 (€ 960.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Edward Calvert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Iasius, The Old Arcadian, Teaching The Mysteries Of Demeter in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,671.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Bride, from A Memoir of Edward Calvert Artist by his Third Son von Edward Calvert wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 960,00 (€ 960,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Calvert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Iasius, The Old Arcadian, Teaching The Mysteries Of Demeter im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.671,54).
