Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Masculine Indifference by Edward Ardizzone was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2019. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,901.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Ardizzone - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Saloon Bar at The Shirland, which sold at auction in June 2003 for GBP 6,572.50 (€ 9,445.04).

Für andere Arbeiten von Edward Ardizzone mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Saloon Bar at The Shirland beobachtet, die im Juni 2003 für GBP 6.572,50 (€ 9.445,04) versteigert wurde.
