Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hampstead Fair by Edward Ardizzone was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 4,845.00 (€ 5,785.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Edward Ardizzone have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2003 the work The Saloon Bar at The Shirland was auctioned for GBP 6,572.50 (€ 9,445.04).

Die Arbeit Hampstead Fair von Edward Ardizzone wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.845,00 (€ 5.785,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Edward Ardizzone konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2003 die Arbeit The Saloon Bar at The Shirland für GBP 6.572,50 (€ 9.445,04) versteigert.
