This artwork by Edward Ardizzone achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in December 2020. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Deal Beach at High Tide sold for GBP 2,295.00 (€ 2,563.72) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Ardizzone - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Saloon Bar at The Shirland, which sold at auction in June 2003 for GBP 6,572.50 (€ 9,445.04).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Edward Ardizzone erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Deal Beach at High Tide für GBP 2.295,00 (€ 2.563,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Edward Ardizzone mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Saloon Bar at The Shirland beobachtet, die im Juni 2003 für GBP 6.572,50 (€ 9.445,04) versteigert wurde.
