Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Émile-Alain Séguy could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Prints & Multiples: Part II auction, the work Prismes changed hands for USD 1,260.00 (€ 1,047.38) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Other works by Émile-Alain Séguy have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2014 by the work [Butterflies: Four Plates|AID559517] at USD 2,750.00 (€ 1,982.70).
