Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work pure channel by Doug Aitken for USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,856.14). This price was achieved in the auction On Paper | Online at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Doug Aitken achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work West in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 326,500.00 (€ 250,460.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit pure channel von Doug Aitken für USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.856,14) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion On Paper | Online bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Doug Aitken erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit West im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 326.500,00 (€ 250.460,26).
