Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Connecting by Doug Aitken. Here, the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 10,710.00 (€ 8,902.74). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Doug Aitken achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work West in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 326,500.00 (€ 250,460.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Connecting von Doug Aitken zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 10.710,00 (€ 8.902,74) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Doug Aitken erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit West im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 326.500,00 (€ 250.460,26).
