Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Post-War British Art Day Sale, which included the work Blue And Green Still Life With Flowers by Donald Hamilton Fraser. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,298.26) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Donald Hamilton Fraser - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, Sea And Wind, which sold at auction in November 2020 for GBP 18,900.00 (€ 21,098.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Blue And Green Still Life With Flowers von Donald Hamilton Fraser zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.298,26) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Donald Hamilton Fraser mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape, Sea And Wind beobachtet, die im November 2020 für GBP 18.900,00 (€ 21.098,78) versteigert wurde.
