In July last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work The Castle by Donald Hamilton Fraser. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,827.09), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Donald Hamilton Fraser achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape, Sea And Wind in November 2020 with an auction result of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 21,098.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Castle von Donald Hamilton Fraser zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.827,09) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Donald Hamilton Fraser erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape, Sea And Wind im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 21.098,78).
