Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian Figure Studies by Donald Stuart Leslie Friend was auctioned at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2009. The price achieved of AUD 6,000.00 (€ 3,527.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Donald Stuart Leslie Friend achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Ayam2 Kesayangan: 1 A Miscellanea 1968-1978 in May 2007 with an auction result of AUD 336,000.00 (€ 206,600.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Australian Figure Studies von Donald Stuart Leslie Friend kam im August 2009 bei Sothebys in Melbourne zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 6.000,00 (€ 3.527,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Donald Stuart Leslie Friend erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian Ayam2 Kesayangan: 1 A Miscellanea 1968-1978 im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 336.000,00 (€ 206.600,16).
