In the Modern and Contemporary Australian Art with Works by 20th Century African Artists auction, the work A Northern Pub sold for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,943.86) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Donald Stuart Leslie Friend achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Ayam2 Kesayangan: 1 A Miscellanea 1968-1978 in May 2007 with an auction result of AUD 336,000.00 (€ 206,600.16).
