This price was achieved in the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Donald Stuart Leslie Friend achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Ayam2 Kesayangan: 1 A Miscellanea 1968-1978 in May 2007 with an auction result of AUD 336,000.00 (€ 206,600.16).
