The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,471.93), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Donald Stuart Leslie Friend achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Ayam2 Kesayangan: 1 A Miscellanea 1968-1978 in May 2007 with an auction result of AUD 336,000.00 (€ 206,600.16).
