Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Thatchers, Bali by Donald Stuart Leslie Friend was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. The price achieved of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 4,147.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 35,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Donald Stuart Leslie Friend achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Ayam2 Kesayangan: 1 A Miscellanea 1968-1978 in May 2007 with an auction result of AUD 336,000.00 (€ 206,600.16).

Die Arbeit Thatchers, Bali von Donald Stuart Leslie Friend kam im November 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 4.147,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 35.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Donald Stuart Leslie Friend erzielen.
