This artwork by Donald Baechler achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in October this year. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work Cone (A Feat of Strength); and Camouflage Sandwich (Cross Examination) sold for USD 7,620.00 (€ 7,210.45) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Donald Baechler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Conversazione in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 149,000.00 (€ 171,382.56).
