Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Don McCullin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shell-shocked US Marine, The Battle of Hue in May 2019 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,298.50).

Die Arbeit 'Shell Shocked Marine', 1968 von Don McCullin wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.800,52) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Don McCullin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shell-shocked US Marine, The Battle of Hue im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.298,50).
