This artwork by Don McCullin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in November 2021. In the Photographs auction, the work Still Life sold for GBP 5,670.00 (€ 6,657.11) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Don McCullin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shell-shocked US Marine, The Battle of Hue in May 2019 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,298.50).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Don McCullin erzielte im November 2021 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit Still Life für GBP 5.670,00 (€ 6.657,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Don McCullin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shell-shocked US Marine, The Battle of Hue im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.298,50).
