Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Yoko III by Don Brown was sold in the Under the Influence auction at Phillips in London in December 2013. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,028.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Don Brown - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Yoko XVI - 2006, which sold at auction in June this year for EUR 39,360.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Yoko III von Don Brown wurde im Dezember 2013 in der Auktion Under the Influence bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.028,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Don Brown mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Yoko XVI - 2006 beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für EUR 39.360,00 versteigert wurde.
