Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Yoko XV by Don Brown was sold in the First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in December 2017. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 20,000.00 (€ 16,636.17). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Don Brown - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Yoko XVI - 2006, which sold at auction in June this year for EUR 39,360.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Yoko XV von Don Brown wurde im Dezember 2017 in der Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 20.000,00 (€ 16.636,17) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Don Brown mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Yoko XVI - 2006 beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für EUR 39.360,00 versteigert wurde.
