This work without title by Domoto Hisao was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. It achieved a price of HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 126,748.10), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 73%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Domoto Hisao; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Painting 1960-14 sold at auction in October 2015 with the realized price of HKD 1,875,000.00 (€ 219,049.99).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Domoto Hisao wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.125.000,00 (€ 126.748,10) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 73%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Domoto Hisao; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Painting 1960-14 im Oktober 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.875.000,00 (€ 219.049,99).
