Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Domoto Hisao could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Seaside - Water changed hands for HKD 7,500.00 (€ 844.99) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Domoto Hisao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Painting 1960-14 in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,875,000.00 (€ 219,049.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Domoto Hisao konnte im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Seaside - Water für HKD 7.500,00 (€ 844,99) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Domoto Hisao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Painting 1960-14 im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.875.000,00 (€ 219.049,99).
