Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Dmitri Baltermants could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Grief, 1942 changed hands for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,500.65) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dmitri Baltermants - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grief (Ditch of Kertsch), which sold at auction in October 2013 for USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,114.76).
