Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Attack!, Vers 1943 by Dmitri Baltermants was sold in the Photography auction at Artcurial in Paris in November 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,098.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dmitri Baltermants - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grief (Ditch of Kertsch), which sold at auction in October 2013 for USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,114.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Attack!, Vers 1943 von Dmitri Baltermants wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion Photography bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.098,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Dmitri Baltermants mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Grief (Ditch of Kertsch) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für USD 13.750,00 (€ 10.114,76) versteigert wurde.
