Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ding Yi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Hong Kong in June last year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale auction, the work Appearance of Crosses 96-24 sold for HKD 327,600.00 (€ 39,866.50) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ding Yi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Appearance Of Crosses 90-6 in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 17,460,000.00 (€ 1,517,338.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ding Yi erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Appearance of Crosses 96-24 für HKD 327.600,00 (€ 39.866,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ding Yi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Appearance Of Crosses 90-6 im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.460.000,00 (€ 1.517.338,91).
