The work Appearance of Crosses 98-4 - Triptyque by Ding Yi was sold in the 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November last year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 5,292,000.00 (€ 656,693.98), 26% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ding Yi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Appearance Of Crosses 90-6, which sold at auction in April 2011 for HKD 17,460,000.00 (€ 1,517,338.91).

Die Arbeit Appearance of Crosses 98-4 - Triptyque von Ding Yi wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 5.292.000,00 (€ 656.693,98) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ding Yi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Appearance Of Crosses 90-6 beobachtet, die im April 2011 für HKD 17.460.000,00 (€ 1.517.338,91) versteigert wurde.
