This artwork by Ding Yi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September this year. In the 10th Shanghai Auction Anniversary: 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale auction, the work Appearance of Crosses 2018-4 sold for CNY 1,764,000.00 (€ 228,333.33) - well above the upper estimate of CNY 900,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ding Yi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Appearance Of Crosses 90-6 in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 17,460,000.00 (€ 1,517,338.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 96 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ding Yi erzielte im September diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 10th Shanghai Auction Anniversary: 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Appearance of Crosses 2018-4 für CNY 1.764.000,00 (€ 228.333,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von CNY 900.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ding Yi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Appearance Of Crosses 90-6 im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.460.000,00 (€ 1.517.338,91).
