In November this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 21st Century Art Day Sale, which included the work Appearance of Crosses 2013-4 by Ding Yi. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 882,000.00 (€ 103,498.35), 30% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ding Yi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Appearance Of Crosses 90-6 in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 17,460,000.00 (€ 1,517,338.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Appearance of Crosses 2013-4 von Ding Yi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 882.000,00 (€ 103.498,35) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ding Yi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Appearance Of Crosses 90-6 im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.460.000,00 (€ 1.517.338,91).
