In March this year Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Appearance of crosses 2006-B8 by Ding Yi. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 165,100.00 (€ 19,331.52), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ding Yi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Appearance Of Crosses 90-6 in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 17,460,000.00 (€ 1,517,338.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Appearance of crosses 2006-B8 von Ding Yi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 165.100,00 (€ 19.331,52) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ding Yi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Appearance Of Crosses 90-6 im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.460.000,00 (€ 1.517.338,91).
