This artwork by Ding Fang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2007. In the Asian Contemporary Art auction, the work The Break of Decree sold for HKD 247,500.00 (€ 21,636.03) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ding Fang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boat Tracker in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 2,419,000.00 (€ 272,536.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ding Fang erzielte im November 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit The Break of Decree für HKD 247.500,00 (€ 21.636,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ding Fang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Boat Tracker im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.419.000,00 (€ 272.536,58).
