Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work City Series No.5(Painted In 1987) by Ding Fang. The price achieved of HKD 76,700.00 (€ 8,636.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 65,000.00 – 85,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ding Fang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boat Tracker in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 2,419,000.00 (€ 272,536.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit City Series No.5(Painted In 1987) von Ding Fang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 76.700,00 (€ 8.636,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 65.000,00 – 85.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ding Fang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Boat Tracker im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.419.000,00 (€ 272.536,58).
