Auction result misses estimated price range
In March this year a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (floating) by Derek Fordjour for USD 69,850.00 (€ 64,247.61). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Derek Fordjour achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ornithologist in May last year with an auction result of USD 945,000.00 (€ 880,626.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (floating) von Derek Fordjour für USD 69.850,00 (€ 64.247,61) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Derek Fordjour erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ornithologist im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 945.000,00 (€ 880.626,22).
