Auction result well in line with expectations
The work No. 79 by Derek Fordjour was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May this year. The price achieved of USD 48,260.00 (€ 45,297.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Derek Fordjour achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ornithologist in May last year with an auction result of USD 945,000.00 (€ 880,626.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit No. 79 von Derek Fordjour kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 48.260,00 (€ 45.297,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Derek Fordjour erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ornithologist im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 945.000,00 (€ 880.626,22).
