Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Pablo's Universe by Derek Fordjour was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in June this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 35,280.00 (€ 41,059.85), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Derek Fordjour achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ornithologist in May last year with an auction result of USD 945,000.00 (€ 880,626.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pablo's Universe von Derek Fordjour wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 35.280,00 (€ 41.059,85) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Derek Fordjour erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ornithologist im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 945.000,00 (€ 880.626,22).
