Despite a disappointment, a good price for Davis Rhodes
In October 2015 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Davis Rhodes for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,993.75). This price was achieved in the auction A Visual Odyssey Selections from LAC (Lambert Art Collection) Staged by Jacques Grange at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by Davis Rhodes that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Davis Rhodes
Im Oktober 2015 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Davis Rhodes für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.993,75) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion A Visual Odyssey Selections from LAC (Lambert Art Collection) Staged by Jacques Grange bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist dieses Werk ohne Titel das teuerste Kunstwerk von Davis Rhodes, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
