Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Davis Rhodes could be acquired at Phillips in London in December 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now auction, this work without title changed hands for GBP 875.00 (€ 984.68) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Davis Rhodes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,993.75).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Davis Rhodes konnte im Dezember 2017 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion New Now wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 875,00 (€ 984,68) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Davis Rhodes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.993,75).
