Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by David Rabinowitch achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2017. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Construction of Vision sold for USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,020.99) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Rabinowitch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (floor sculpture), which sold at auction in September 2006 for USD 18,000.00 (€ 14,187.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Rabinowitch erzielte im September 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Construction of Vision für USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.020,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von David Rabinowitch mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (floor sculpture) beobachtet, die im September 2006 für USD 18.000,00 (€ 14.187,75) versteigert wurde.
